Because matches actually play out on a living 2D pitch, your decisions stop being abstract: you see when your side looks comfortable and when it gets stretched, when a signing pays off and when a defence holds. That is how football sense is built anyway — by watching games, not by reading a manual first.

Just as importantly, nothing is time-critical. Your club earns while the app is closed, so you are never punished for missing an evening and never behind the people who play more hours than you. Without that pressure, there is no scramble to keep up with players who know the sport better than you do.

Knowledge helps, of course, but it is a bonus rather than a barrier.
